Congratulations to Carla and Carrie two of my clients who saw the benefits of the cold laser treatments that prompted them to start their own business in Airdrie and Lethbridge. Follow this link to their business http://www.nourishfacials.ca/. Trust me you will love them XO

Photo Rejuvenation

IPL Photo Rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin. IPL is absorbed by pigmentation and dilated capillaries in the treatment area. Most treatments are designed to target specific areas of concern: brown spots or redness. The system effectively targets most areas while causing minimal redness, and little to no downtime. With multiple treatments, you will witness long-term improvements to your complexion and the appearance of smoother, revitalized skin.

Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is suitable for both men and women in most places where unwanted hair grows.  It is an effective method of permanently reducing unwanted hair. During laser hair removal, highly controlled pulses of laser light are selectively absorbed by the hair follicles lying below the surface of the skin. The absorbed light heats and destroys the hair follicle, preventing re-growth from occurring without damaging surrounding tissues. Through a series of sessions, the lasers will target each follicle to remove unwanted hair.

Hair growth occurs in phases. Hair growth has three stages:  Anagen (active stage), Catagen (regression) and Telogen (resting). Lasers can only target hair in the anagen stage, the currently actively growing hair follicles. At any given time, only 15-25% of hairs are in the active growing stage at the same time. This explains why several treatments are required to assure the destruction of hair follicles. The exact number of treatments required will depend on various parameters including the area of the body treated, skin color, coarseness of hair and gender. There is no pain associated with this treatment.
About the Procedure
Prior to laser hair removal, you need to prepare your skin in advance. Don't wax, tweeze or epilate before laser hair removal. The night before or morning of, shave the area to be treated. Depending on the body region being treated, laser hair removal can take just a few moments up to an hour.
